SIX days until my marathon…..whoa that’s scary! I’m still crossing my fingers that my foot will be okay, it was fine today and yesterday but I haven’t tried running on it again yet (and not planning on it until Wednesday).
Here’s my plans for the week.
Workouts:
Monday: rest
Tuesday: rest or play tennis
Wednesday: 5 mile run
Thursday: rest
Friday: rest or 30-60 min bike or elliptical
Saturday: 15-20 min easy run
Sunday: MARATHON!!!
Meals:
Monday: leftovers
Tuesday: homemade pizza with salad
Wednesday: pasta primavera
Thursday: vegetarian chili
Friday: leftover chili
Saturday: ??? will be at hotel in Orlando until Monday
Sunday: ???
“Music”:
This week I’m branching out. I recently read this article from No Meat Athlete: On Turning Pro. (Go check it out, he makes some exceptional points). One thing I took away from the article was the idea that a commitment to listening to something positive for a certain amount of time every day can do wonders.
So this weeks “music” is actually a podcast! I’m starting with Jillian Michael’s podcasts. She is amazing and inspirational, and posts weekly hour long podcasts which are free on iTunes. I am going to make a point to listen to at least one of Jillian’s podcasts at some point this week, will let you guys know what I think (whether you want to or not)!
